The Crystal Healthcare DuraTherme Doona’s are an invaluable source of comfort for our patients. They provide a more “homely” feel than the standard hospital sheet and cellular blanket combination. The doona’s are easy to manage as they only need a quick wipe down as well as being of a thickness that allows for year round use.

I was firstly introduced to the Boss 40 whilst working in a nursing home. I was skeptical as to how well it would absorb as we had been given many new products before, which we found didn’t absorb as well as described. To my surprise it absorbed beyond my expectations. After using this product for a few weeks at work I decided to purchase two for home, as my child wets the bed. The wings tuck easily under the mattress to minimize sliding and the rubber back prevents the mattress from getting wet. It can be easily laid on top of the fitted sheet or discreetly underneath. It’s not just convenient for midnight bed changes; it boosts my child’s self-confidence at this awkward time in his life. I am so happy with product I have ordered five more as the only problem I have is running out of them if my child wets the bed more than once.

Hi, I’m currently working in a nursing home and I’ve experienced many of the wonderful products, which in fact are not very wonderful at all. During our monthly staff meeting we were informed of the changes coming to our facility. The Boss 40 was the new Kylie and Mack in one with wings (As we call them). Everyone rolled their eyes as we didn’t believe any product could withhold the level of absorptions required in a High Care facility. After using this fantastic product for a few days I couldn’t believe how well it actually absorbed. Our residents were dryer and bed changes due to wet beds were minimal at best. I can’t say anything bad about this product as I haven’t found a negative aspect. If the person positioning the Boss 40 puts it on the bed correctly it absorbs to an industrial level of absorption, which is what’s needed in a High Care Facility. I have five children and I only wish I knew about this product when they were babies and going through the bed wetting stage.

Hi, I had never heard of the Boss 40 until my wife had a few delivered to help with our child’s bed wetting stage. As a man I would have to say that this is not an area I am particularly familiar with as I work night shift. Since my wife has been using this product she can’t say enough about it. My child is more confident within himself and he’s not embarrassed to have children sleepover as it can be placed discreetly underneath his fitted sheet. The wings tuck under the mattress so his not in danger of it falling out for all to see. It doesn’t make loud ruffling sounds when you sit on the bed like those plastic waterproof sheets so commonly do. My wife is not as tired anymore from multiple completed bed changes in the middle of the night and it helps my child through this embarrassing stage in his life. I’d have to say the Boss 40 would have to be one of the best inventions yet!

Hi my name is Sue, I have worked in a nursing home for many years now and I have never come across a product which I would ever contemplate writing a testimonial for. The Boss 40 has the absorption level above anything I’d imagined. The plastic like backing prevents leakage on to the bed linen, whilst the long wings on the side help minimize movement of the product. The Boss 40 is not just convenient for us as the carers it also plays an important role in the protection of our ageing populations skin. In a nursing home we are faced with many challenges, keeping our residents skin dry is the hardest of all. Most elderly in High Care facilities are or become incontinent not just in the day but also at night. Air reaches our body through our clothing and underwear but incontinence pads don’t provide the air circulation required in keep our skin healthy and or completely dry. This is where the Boss 40 brings all these factors into one. Residents are dryer which keeps their skin healthier, making them feel better about their situation. This is the best product introduced into our nursing home to date.
